Ronaldo Backs Strikerz UFL Game with $40M Fundraising Boost

Al Nassr's Cristiano Ronaldo has joined a group of investors contributing over $40 million to propel the development of UFL, a new free-to-play football game. The ambitious project aims to redefine the way football enthusiasts engage with the gaming world.

Ronaldo's involvement in the game's development has not only provided a marketing boon but has also attracted considerable attention, leveraging his illustrious football career and an unparalleled Instagram following of 614 million.

UFL is on a mission to establish a new standard for immersive football gaming, a sentiment echoed by Ronaldo who expressed his excitement, stating, "I'm thrilled to be a part of this project as UFL can become the new breed in football gaming."

The brains behind UFL, Strikerz Inc., identified an opportunity for a fresh perspective in football gaming after the separation of EAFC from FIFA. The company seeks to seamlessly blend gameplay with an interactive fan experience, while maintaining a fair philosophy that recognizes and rewards the global community of football gamers.

Eugene Nashilov, CEO of Strikerz Inc., emphasised the significance of Ronaldo's partnership, stating, "Having Cristiano Ronaldo join us as a partner and investor is a significant step forward and an endorsement of our vision to create the leading game for football fans in the world."

UFL, committed to innovation, technology, and entertainment, aims to differentiate itself in the gaming industry. Nashilov added, "This is an ambition shared by Cristiano, and we are excited to be working together to create a game that fills a gap in the football gaming market by unifying a rich gaming experience with continuous progress and a fair approach."

While the official release date remains undisclosed, a closed testing phase commenced in the autumn. The game is slated to launch on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S consoles. The precise value of Ronaldo's investment has not been disclosed.
