Bruin Capital has agreed to sell golf technology company Full Swing to Versant in a transaction valued at approximately US$530 million, completing a successful investment exit after acquiring a controlling interest in the business in 2021.

Financial terms of Bruin Capital's original investment were not officially disclosed, although the company was widely reported to have been valued at approximately US$160 million at the time of the acquisition. The agreed sale price represents a significant increase in value over the five-year investment period.

Founded in 1986, Full Swing has established itself as one of the golf industry's leading technology companies, developing premium simulators, launch monitors and performance tracking solutions used by professional golfers, coaches, commercial venues and consumers worldwide.

The company is the Official Licensed Simulator of the PGA Tour and supplies simulator technology for TGL, the technology-driven golf league founded by TMRW Sports, the venture created by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Mike McCarley.

Tiger Woods has been both an investor and ambassador for Full Swing since 2015. While neither Woods nor the company has disclosed the size of his shareholding, multiple media reports estimate he owns around a 2% equity stake, which could result in proceeds of approximately US$11 million from the transaction. The figure has not been officially confirmed.

Following completion of the acquisition, Full Swing will become part of Versant's Digital Platforms and Sports division, with Chief Executive Officer Ryan Dotters remaining in his current role.

The transaction is expected to close later in 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions, and represents one of the largest acquisitions in the golf technology sector in recent years.
