Human performance company EXOS has acquired sports-technology provider Infinite Athlete, along with its biomechanics research subsidiary Biocore, in a move intended to expand EXOS’s capabilities in athlete performance data and digital training infrastructure. The acquisition brings together EXOS’s training facilities and coaching network with Infinite Athlete’s technology platform, which combines real-time movement analysis with data-driven performance insights.
Infinite Athlete has developed systems that overlay video data with metrics on workload, movement efficiency and injury risk. Its Biocore division has contributed research used across multiple elite sports evaluating athlete biomechanics and impact stress. By integrating these technologies, EXOS plans to offer a more comprehensive performance platform to clients ranging from elite athletes to professional teams and corporate wellness programmes.
The acquisition reflects ongoing convergence in the athlete performance market, where service providers are increasingly seeking to own both physical training environments and the digital infrastructure that supports performance decision-making. EXOS has stated that the deal enables it to operate as an end-to-end performance partner, combining training, data analytics, rehabilitation and long-term athlete development into a single services ecosystem.
The move also comes amid broader consolidation in the sports-tech sector, with firms specialising in performance, data and monitoring tools increasingly being absorbed into larger integrated systems. For EXOS, the acquisition supports its positioning in a competitive market that includes training-focused organisations, performance laboratories and wearable-technology providers.
EXOS has indicated that it expects to integrate Infinite Athlete’s platform into its training programmes over the next year, with updates to both professional and consumer offerings. The acquisition may also have implications for competitive dynamics within leagues and federations that previously engaged Biocore independently for research and performance analysis.
The combined organisation will continue to explore additional partnerships with teams, governing bodies and athlete development programmes, with further announcements anticipated in 2026.
