Lenovo has joined Formula E as the championship’s official AR and digital content provider for the rest of the 2025/26 season. The partnership is built around AI and advanced computing tools designed to improve live broadcast workflows, strengthen event operations and create more immersive fan experiences for Formula E’s cumulative global TV audience of 561 million. The collaboration includes three proof-of-concept deployments: an AI-powered digital human experience for fans, real-time AI optimisation of onboard race footage, and AI-powered augmented-reality broadcast graphics aimed at richer live storytelling.
Formula E has always sold itself as a championship where innovation is part of the product, and that gives technology partners room to test tools in a genuinely live, high-pressure environment. What stands out here is that the work is not limited to sponsorship branding. It sits directly inside production, camera performance and the digital fan experience. That is where sports-tech partnerships start to feel more meaningful. Formula E gets a practical operating upgrade, while Lenovo gets a highly visible showcase for AI in one of sport’s most demanding real-time environments. For the wider market, it is another reminder that the next wave of sports-tech value is often found where broadcast, operations and fan engagement begin to overlap, rather than in isolated products built for only one part of the ecosystem.
