Prime Video lands local streaming rights for six NHL teams

Prime Video will become an exclusive local streaming home for six NHL teams from the 2026–27 season under a new multi-year agreement with the NHL.

The deal covers the Anaheim Ducks, Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues, with regular-season games, pre- and post-game shows and additional team programming available to fans within each club’s regional territory.

The individual teams will operate different commercial models. St. Louis, Minnesota, Carolina and Columbus have announced streaming subscriptions priced at $19.99 per month or $99.99 annually. The Blues expect to produce 73 local television games during the 2026–27 season, with 11 games carried by the NHL’s national broadcast partners.

Dallas Stars fans with an Amazon Prime membership will receive all non-nationally televised games across Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas at no additional cost.

The Anaheim Ducks will also make their local streams available to Prime members at no additional charge during the first year. The club will retain 65 games on free-to-air television through KCOP-13 or FOX 11, covering 100% of the Los Angeles market.

Prime Video Head of Sports Partnerships Charlie Neiman said the agreement expands Amazon’s existing relationship with the NHL. NHL Chief Media Officer David Proper said it gives clubs greater flexibility in how they distribute local games.

The NHL’s 2026–27 regular season has expanded from 82 to 84 games per team.
