Rezzil Raises $10m as Jobe Bellingham Backs Global Expansion

Manchester-founded sports technology company Rezzil has raised US$10 million in strategic growth funding, with Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jobe Bellingham and putting coach Phil Kenyon among its new investors. Bellingham's involvement forms part of a wider technology partnership with his family. The funding supports Rezzil’s international expansion and investment in its performance technology.

Existing backers include the Premier League and Simba Investments. Rezzil's wider investor base also includes Thierry Henry, Gary Neville, Vincent Kompany, Tyrone Mings, Michail Antonio and rugby player Anthony Watson, while Tennis Australia's AO Startups and NBA Launchpad are among its strategic supporters. These are existing relationships, not all new participants in this round.

Founded in Manchester by Adam Dickinson, Andy Etches and Gareth Thatcher, Rezzil developed virtual-reality football training before expanding into movement intelligence: technology that turns athletes' movement into actionable performance, broadcast and interactive data. Its analysis tools have appeared on BBC Match of the Day.

Chief executive Sion Colley and finance chief Paul Mann previously led Angstrom Sports, acquired by Entain in 2023. Jake Loos, formerly of Hawk-Eye and the NBA, is leading North American expansion. The business has opened offices in London and Chicago and plans to roughly double its headcount to 100 within a year.

Funding will support international expansion, product development and consumer gaming, including new mobile experiences. The commercial opportunity is to sell movement-derived insights and interactive products to teams, athletes, broadcasters and rights holders, while developing a consumer revenue stream.
