The Sports Playmaker Strikes New Partnership to Drive Middle East Investment in Sports Technology

The Sports Playmaker is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Middle East Sports Investment Forum (MESIF) 2024 to support the engagement of the Sports Tech and Investment communities with the sports industry in the Middle East.

For regional powerhouses like Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar, Sport is an important pillar in plans for social and economic development and strategic investment has been made across a range of properties to help accelerate growth.  From Qatar’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup to Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF)’s investment in F1, The Saudi Pro League and LIV Golf, Middle Eastern investment is one of the main factors shaping the global sports landscape.

Taking place on 5th June, at The Emirates Stadium, London, MESIF is the only event of its kind, uniting key sports stakeholders from across the Middle East to share their vision for regional sports development. The Forum will welcome over 300 senior sports business leaders and investors from EMEA, including senior representatives from The Saudi Ministry for Investment, the Saudi Olympic Committee, The Saudi Football Federation and Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy.

Under the partnership, The Sports Playmaker will promote the inaugural MESIF to its extensive industry network and work alongside the organisers to ensure Sports Technology is an active component of the event. The aim of the agreement is to help connect the sports investment community with Middle Eastern sports organisations and government bodies, and to ensure that regional decision makers in attendance have access to some of the latest innovations shaping the sports industry.

Commenting on the event, Maximilian Lejman, Event Director, MESIF 2024 said:

“Our Forum will create a unique and timely opportunity to bring together the key players from the region’s sport’s community to understand the investment landscape and identify opportunities in the Middle East and beyond.”

The Sports Playmaker CEO, Jay Greene added:

“As with any business, innovation will be key to achieving the region’s growth plans and I am excited to work with MESIF to ensure that investors and sporting bodies attending will have access to the innovative technologies set to shape how sport is played, watched and experienced in the future”.
