Abu Dhabi T10 Expands with New Franchise, Sponsors and Player Signings

ree

The Abu Dhabi T10 League is preparing for its next edition with a series of developments that point to steady commercial and structural growth. Among the most notable is the launch of the Aspin Stallions, the first Emirati-owned franchise in the competition. Backed by AMH Sports and led by local entrepreneur Ahmad Khoori, the team’s arrival marks a meaningful step in expanding domestic involvement within a tournament that has largely featured international ownership. The Stallions have already announced their first player signings, including legendary India spinner Harbhajan Singh and England wicketkeeper batter Sam Billings, underlining the organisers’ intention to strengthen the league’s competitive depth.

In parallel, Deccan Gladiators, one of the most established teams in the competition, have confirmed BC. GAME News as their new title sponsor for the 2025 season. The agreement brings a Web3 and blockchain-linked company into the league’s commercial roster, continuing a wider trend of digital and technology brands seeking exposure through sports partnerships. Deccan’s strong track record on the field makes it an attractive platform for such sponsorships and reinforces the commercial maturity of the T10 property.

The combination of new ownership and sponsorship activity adds to a wider picture of incremental growth for the Abu Dhabi T10. The league’s short, 10-over format continues to appeal to both broadcasters and audiences seeking fast-paced content, while its location in the UAE provides access to international players, diverse fan bases, and an established sporting infrastructure.

Local ownership, in particular, could help to build stronger community connections and encourage participation within the Emirates, which has been a long-term objective for organisers. Meanwhile, the arrival of new commercial partners demonstrates that the league is able to attract investment from sectors outside traditional cricket sponsorships.

Sustaining this progress will depend on maintaining a balance between commercial expansion and competitive credibility. Continued emphasis on governance, player development, and transparent operations will be important if the T10 is to retain stakeholder confidence and build long-term value.

With new franchises, sponsors, and players in place, the 2025 edition of the Abu Dhabi T10 is shaping up as a season that consolidates recent progress rather than redefines it - a reflection of a tournament that is steadily finding its place within the wider landscape of global franchise cricket.
