Ascend Sport Technology Agrees CHF500m Merger

Swiss sports technology group Ascend Sport Technology has signed a binding merger agreement with EvoNext Holdings, setting out a route to a public listing on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The transaction assigns an equity valuation of CHF 500 million to Ascend and values EvoNext at CHF 2.50 per share.
The proposed combination will be completed through a statutory merger, with Ascend's business exchanged for newly issued EvoNext shares. The combined company is expected to operate under the Ascend Sport Technology name and retain the existing SIX listing, subject to the required shareholder approvals and other closing conditions.
Ascend brings together businesses operating across sports technology, advertising and data-driven commercial services. The company says its platform serves more than 100 sports rights holders and over 500 brands and broadcasters in more than 20 countries. Its proposition centres on using technology and artificial intelligence to help commercial partners monetise sports audiences and inventory.
Alongside the merger, EvoNext intends to conduct a share placement designed to establish an appropriate public free float. The planned offering will consist mainly of secondary shares, with a smaller primary component intended to support growth initiatives and general corporate purposes.
The agreement marks a significant capital markets step for a business operating at the intersection of sports rights, media and advertising technology. Completion is targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026, although the transaction remains conditional and the proposed listing structure is not yet finalised.
