Dyn Targets B2B Growth New Streaming Tech Division

Dyn has split its business interests with the formation of two new divisions – Dyn Sport which will operate their rights and consumer streaming services and Dyn Sport which will serve as a standalone business unit dedicated to commercialising its sports streaming technology. The move positions Dyn as a specialist provider of end-to-end streaming solutions for leagues, federations and broadcasters.

Dyn Media will offer cloud-based infrastructure supporting live and on-demand content delivery, low-latency playback and monetisation tools. The aim is to support rights holders seeking greater control over content distribution and fan data through direct-to-consumer platforms.

The spin-off reflects increasing demand for flexible streaming technology as traditional broadcasters face competition from digital services and social media platforms. Many mid-tier leagues lack the resources to build proprietary systems, creating market opportunities for third-party technology providers.

Dyn’s strategy aligns with broader industry trends toward personalisation and platform independence. By enabling rights holders to own their digital channels, the technology supports subscription models, targeted advertising and deeper audience engagement.

The decision also comes as global streaming competition intensifies, with major technology firms investing heavily in sports delivery tools. Dyn’s focus on interoperability and modular systems positions it as an alternative for organisations seeking scalable solutions without committing to large broadcast contracts.
