Formula E has elevated its relationship with Google Cloud by naming the technology giant the title partner of the 2025 São Paulo E Prix. The race, which opens the 2025 26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, will officially be branded the Google Cloud São Paulo E Prix. The extended agreement reflects one of the most high-profile commercial alignments in Formula E’s history and solidifies the championship’s strategy of embedding advanced technology at the heart of its sporting product.
Google Cloud and Formula E have collaborated for several seasons, but this new deal represents a deeper commitment to deploying AI driven tools within broadcasts and fan engagement platforms. One of the most prominent innovations debuting this season is Google’s Strategy Agent, an AI powered system capable of analysing race data in real time and producing tactical insights for commentators and audiences. The tool is expected to demystify strategic decision making, helping new fans understand the nuances of electric racing while giving long-time followers enhanced context.
Beyond performance analytics, Google Cloud will also integrate its Gemini and Vertex AI technologies across multiple digital touch points to enrich content delivery and streamline operations. The aim is to create a viewing and event experience that is more immersive, more interactive and more reflective of modern expectations around technology and sport.
The São Paulo event will also serve as the platform for a major regional education initiative. In partnership with Formula E, Google Cloud will host Capacita+ Day, a hybrid AI learning programme designed to train more than 200,000 people across Latin America in emerging technologies. A flagship training session held at the race venue will attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the largest hybrid AI class ever delivered.
Commercially, Formula E views the partnership as a statement of intent. As the championship continues to position itself as motorsport’s innovation leader, aligning with a global technology powerhouse reinforces its narrative around sustainability, electrification and future-ready competition. For Google Cloud, the relationship offers a vibrant stage to demonstrate the practical power of its AI systems in high-pressure, data-rich environments.
With the 2025 26 season poised to begin, the Google Cloud São Paulo E Prix encapsulates Formula E’s mission to blend sporting excellence with technological advancement, setting a new benchmark for how motorsport can evolve in the digital age.
