This year at Roland-Garros 2025, technology is taking centre court thanks to a new wave of AI-driven fan experiences launched by Infosys and the French Tennis Federation (FFT). Now, in the seventh year of their partnership, the two organisations are doubling down on immersive innovation, blending the tradition of the Grand Slam with the intelligence of next-gen digital engagement.
At the core of this year’s rollout is a dynamic AI Commentary feature powered by advanced language models. The tool offers fans tailored real-time insights, strategic breakdowns and emotionally resonant narratives, customised by the player, match context, or even personal preferences. Whether watching courtside or from home, fans are empowered with a deeper understanding of the game’s nuances.
Another headline feature is the AI Stadium, an interactive experience allowing users to create their own 3D virtual tennis environments. Using natural language prompts or voice commands, fans can design bespoke arenas, ranging from futuristic digital scapes to historical settings, placing creative expression at the heart of their engagement with the sport.
For those eager to bring their passion to life visually, the Generative AI Poster Challenge presents a unique artistic opportunity. Fans are invited to create digital posters based on their interpretation of tennis, French culture and personal creativity. The finished artworks are displayed inside a dazzling LED cube within the Roland-Garros Fan Zone, delivering a spectacle that fuses sport, culture and innovation.
The technology integration extends beyond entertainment. Infosys and the FFT have embedded a strong social purpose within this year’s activation. Partnering with youth-focused charity programmes, they are offering digital education and AI literacy sessions to underprivileged students, creating opportunities for the next generation of tech-savvy fans and professionals.
