Sphere and Disguise expand technology partnership for global venue growth
Updated: 2 hours ago

Sphere Entertainment and visual-technology company Disguise have signed a multi-year agreement to develop new systems for Sphere’s immersive venues and support the format’s international expansion.
Disguise has supplied media servers and software to the Las Vegas Sphere since it opened in 2023. Its technology processes, synchronises and plays back content in real time for live residencies, corporate events and other productions built around the venue’s large-scale visual environment.
The expanded partnership will focus on custom technology and workflows designed to increase video-playback capability. Sphere will become the first customer to bring Disguise’s next-generation technology to market, giving the venue operator an early deployment role as the companies build future production tools.
The agreement is also connected to Sphere’s development pipeline. The company has announced plans for new venues in Abu Dhabi and National Harbor, Maryland, creating a need for technology that can reproduce complex immersive productions across more than one location.
Disguise provides hardware, software and services across live events, stadiums, theme parks, broadcast and virtual production. Its existing work with Sphere covers the systems used to deliver content for every artist who has performed at the Las Vegas venue.
The companies have not disclosed financial terms, the exact length of the agreement or a launch timetable for the new products. The partnership covers technology development rather than the construction or financing of the planned venues.
