A significant development in sports broadcasting has arrived in the UK and Republic of Ireland with the introduction of TNT Sports, marking a momentous shift in the sports media landscape. Today, TNT Sports officially launched, taking over from BT Sport and offering a fresh and contemporary approach to sports coverage across television, streaming, and digital platforms.

With a diverse team of presenters, pundits, and commentators, including both familiar faces and new talents, TNT Sports promises an enhanced sports viewing experience for audiences. The platform aims to become the ultimate destination for sports fans, presenting an impressive combination of live sport rights, including the coveted Eurosport events.

Discovery+ now serves as the streaming home for TNT Sports in the UK, presenting an extensive selection of the world's celebrated sports events, alongside compelling entertainment, through its new Premium plan. The subscription for this package is priced at £29.99 per month, mirroring the previous cost of a BT Sport Monthly Pass*. This comprehensive service offers access to a wide range of live rights from TNT Sports and Eurosport, along with discovery+'s own entertainment content.

Audiences can access TNT Sports across major TV platforms, including BT TV, Sky, and Virgin Media, ensuring broad availability for viewers. Existing BT Sport customers can easily transition to TNT Sports without any additional actions required.

The diverse lineup of sports rights offered by TNT Sports includes major events like the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Europa Conference League, Gallagher Premiership Rugby, Heineken Champions Cup, EPCR Challenge Cup, MotoGP, Cricket, UFC, Boxing, and WWE.

In collaboration with Eurosport on Discovery+, subscribers can enjoy a rich assortment of premium rights, featuring prominent sporting events such as the Olympic Games Paris 2024, Grand Slam tennis tournaments (including the Australian Open and Roland-Garros), and cycling Grand Tours, including the renowned Tour de France.

TNT Sports brings together a talented team of presenters, with Laura Woods, a two-time winner of the SJA British Sports Journalism Awards Sports Presenter of the Year, hosting TNT Sports' exclusive coverage of the UEFA Champions League and major live boxing fight nights. Reshmin Chowdhury, known for her role in presenting the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League, will anchor the UEFA Champions League matches.

Lynsey Hipgrave will continue her role as the host of live Premier League coverage, while Jules Breach will take on a broader role presenting the UEFA Europa League and reporting on key matches across the Premier League and UEFA Champions League. Jules will also front a new-look show starting Saturday's Premier League coverage on TNT Sports.

TNT Sports aims to provide insightful football analysis and discussions with a lineup of experts, including Rio Ferdinand, Peter Crouch, and Joe Cole, alongside Rachel Brown-Finnis, Owen Hargreaves, Steve McManaman, Joleon Lescott, Michael Owen, Paul Scholes, and Robbie Savage. The commentary team and voices of TNT Sports include Darren Fletcher, Adam Summerton, and Lucy Ward, with the addition of Ally McCoist as a co-commentator and pundit for Premier League and UEFA Champions League matches.

With an ambitious vision, diverse content, and a range of live sports rights, TNT Sports is poised to captivate sports enthusiasts, heralding a new chapter in sports broadcasting in the UK and Republic of Ireland. The platform aspires to deliver an exceptional sports-watching experience, building a new connection with sports fans for the years to come.
